We Are Change Does Not Condone Acts of Violence EVER
In response to the recent plane crash in Austin, TX, We Are Change Colorado would like to issue a statement in order to distance ourselves from any association with this incident or any persons involved: We Are Change absolutely does not condone acts of violence under any circumstances whatsoever. Though there may seem to be some apparent congruence with some of the sentiments expressed in the note left by alleged aggressor Joe Stack with some of the issues we address, we have not ever and will not ever endorse or engage in acts of violence as a group or as individuals with the aim of purporting any message, or for any reason.
We Are Change is a true grassroots community organization that focuses on information distribution and raising awareness of personal rights and political and world events through peaceful means. Our code of conduct states clearly that “[n]o provocation of violence will be tolerated under any circumstance.” We don’t even condone violent or inflammatory language at our meetings or in public.
We do whatever we do out of love for our fellow human beings, our community, and love for ourselves and our freedoms. You could say that love is at the core of our intentions. What that person did in Austin was selfish, inconsiderate and irrational.
We support various causes, groups and messages that speak out against corrupt monetary policy, corrupt government, corrupt media, and any evidence of collusion therein. We mean to bring awareness to these issues, not by lashing out at said institutions but by informing the public and aiding our communities. This action in no way reflects our intentions to bring about change. Thank you and always remember that love is on our side.
